Prizes and awards
The Balys Dvarionas International Competition Jury will award no more than a total of 18 Laureate titles in all groups and categories of the Competition.
The absolute winner in each age group (if he/she has scored more than average 22 points in the jury's voting) will be awarded a cash prize.
Piano
A group 1000 EUR
B group 2000 EUR
C group 3000 EUR
Violin
A group 1000 EUR
B group 2000 EUR
C group 3000 EUR
The organizing committee will endeavour to arrange opportunities for the best pianists and violinists to perform with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra during its 2008-2009 concert season.
Other successful participants will be awarded diplomas.
Special awards may be granted for the:
best performance of a Balys Dvarionas composition;
best performance of a Baroque composition;
best performance of a Classical composition;
best performance of a Romantic composition;
best performance of a contemporary composition;
youngest participant in Round 2; etc.
Prizes and diplomas will be presented during the official closing and Competition finale concert.
